Commissioner Hahn encourages Hungary to speed up with the submission of the Partnership Agreement for 2014-2020

Commissioner Hahn met today State Secretary János Lázár, Head of the Prime Minister's Office in Hungary to discuss current implementation of cohesion policy for 2007-2013 and the programming for 2014-2020.

The Commissioner welcomed the fact that Hungary had avoided de-commitment of EU Structural Funds for 2013 and encouraged Mr Lázár to stay on this course as regards expenses for 2014 and 2015 in  order not to lose any EU funds from the 2007-2013 period.

Regarding the 2014-2020 programming period, he stressed the importance for Hungary to keep on track with the official submission of the Partnership Agreement and recommended to submit the Operational Programmes shortly after submitting the Partnership Agreement.
