A photo speaks louder than a thousand words and the images of hunger victims benefitting from European solidarity are a powerful testimony of the joint humanitarian work of the European Commission and the World Food Program.
These images are part of a photo exhibition opened today by Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva at the Berlaymont, the headquarters of the European Commission. It shows how lives are saved and improved thanks to the support of European citizens.
The photos were taken at humanitarian projects executed jointly by the European Commission and WFP in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Haiti. They are a window to the successful partnership between the WFP and the EU who work together on the frontlines of hunger, bringing life-saving assistance to millions of people in more than 30 countries.
