Brussels, 23 November 2012 - Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle will visit Croatia on Monday. He will meet the President of the Republic, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister  of Foreign and European Affairs, and the Deputy Prime Minister for Home, Foreign and European Affairs to discuss the completion of Croatia's preparations for the EU entry. He will also speak at the Western Balkans Civil Society Forum. The visit takes place few weeks after the European Commission published the Comprehensive Monitoring Report on Croatia where it assessed the work done in its preparations for EU-membership and identified areas where increased efforts are required in the coming months. From Croatia Commissioner Füle will travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The purpose of his visit there is the second round of the High Level Dialogue on the Accession Process (HLDAP). It will focus on the implementation of the Road Map agreed at the first meeting of HLDAP on 27 June in Brussels and on the necessary follow-up.

This visit, coming only few weeks after the publication of the Commission´s Progress report on Bosnia and Herzegovina and after the joint visit by High Representative/ Vice-President  Catherine Ashton and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is another signal of the European encouragement for the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to proceed with the necessary reforms for the country´s progress on the integration path for the benefit of its citizens.
