Munich: Š. Füle on the reforms in the Neighbourhood and enlargement
Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood policy Štefan Füle will speak about EU´s response to the Arab Spring on Friday in Munich. He will attend the Conference "Changing EU Neighbourhood: Arab Spring one year on" organised in paralell with the Munich Security Conference. In his speech Commissioner Füle will focus on the EU´s policies which have been revised in the light of the revolutions in the Arab countries and on readjustment of the EU´s help there. He will appreciate Tunisia´s progress in democratic transition and speak about the EU relations with the new governments who came to power in the wake of the people's uprisings. While in Munich Commissioner Füle will bilaterally meet the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantyn Gryshchenko, the Moldovan Foreign Minister Iuri Leanca, the new Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu and the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga. The main topic of all his discussions will be European agenda and EU policies on enlargement and Eastern neighbourhood with the focus on the reform efforts and transformation.
