Commissioner Füle participates in “Dialogue Montenegro - EU”, 27 May 2011
“I am positive that Montenegro, with its constructive, open and inclusive approach, but most importantly with the energy of its people and the solid political consensus which already exists, will make good progress on its European path, and become an example to follow in the region”, stated Commissioner Füle on 27 May 2011 in Podgorica at the conference “Dialogue Montenegro - EU”.
Speaking at conference Commissioner Füle also stated that Montenegro has achieved a lot, and still needs to show convincing results in order to move to the next stage of European integration. The country is moving in the right direction and it should not slow down, but further increase its pace towards the EU. Commissioner Füle commended the increasingly commitment and efforts of all stakeholders to address shortcomings indentified in the Commission Opinion, in particular the seven key priorities.
