Commissioner Štefan Füle visits Syria on 25 January 2011
"Aware of the important role that Syria plays in the region, I look forward to my first official visit to Damascus and to having good talks with the Syrian authorities. The EU is currently reviewing its policy towards the entire region - the European Neighbourhood Policy. As the Commissioner responsible for European Neighbourhood policy this visit will give me the opportunity to discuss with the Syrian government a common vision for EU-Syria relations in the medium and long term", stated Commissioner Füle on 25 January prior to his visit.
EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle, will visit Syria on Tuesday, 25 January, 2011.
