Vice-President Georgieva has been granted by President Juncker, on her request, a temporary leave following her nomination by the Government of Bulgaria as candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the United Nations.

During this period, President Juncker has decided to transfer temporarily the portfolio of Budget and Human Resources to Commissioner Oettinger.
