International Action

The Ozone Secretariat site of the United Nations Environment Program. The Secretariat is in charge of both the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
The Technology & Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP), organized under UNEP, is responsible for issuing regular reports on progress on implementing the phase-out of ozone-depleting substances, including assessments of alternatives and emissions reduction. It includes seven committees, some of which have their own sites linked from the home page.
Online Halon Trader is a service provided by the Information Clearinghouse of the UNEP DTIE OzonAction Programme as part of UNEP's work programme under the Multilateral Fund. It is designed to support national halon banking by facilitating the exchange of halons for critical uses via the World Wide Web.
