07 December 2012 Commission launches public consultation on structural options for the EU Emissions Trading System
Following the report on the state of the European carbon market, the Commission is today opening its online public consultation on structural options to strengthen the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
All stakeholders and experts in the field of the European carbon market are invited to comment on structural options and views reflected in the report, published on 14 November, which serves as the consultation document. The consultation will remain open until end of February 2013.
Dedicated stakeholder meetings may also be held in 2013 to enable a focused discussion of the structural options.
