11 January 2012 Questions and answers on the use of international credits in the third trading phase of the EU ETS

The Commission has received several questions from stakeholders on the eligibility of international credits for compliance in the EU Emissions Trading System post-2012. It regularly provides answers to these questions in order to give industry, project developers and investors equal access and clarity on the interpretation of the relevant provisions in the EU ETS Directive and the Effort Sharing Decision.
