23 September 2011Aviation in the EU ETS: Commission to announce aviation benchmark values on Monday

On 26 September at 12.00 CEST, the Commission will publish a decision setting the aviation benchmark values. Two separate benchmark values, one for the year 2012 and one for the third trading period (2013-2020), will be announced. The benchmark values will be used to allocate emissions allowances free of charge to airlines.
