26.10.2006 - The Regional Court of Linz wins the "Crystal
Scales of Justice" Prize
The 2006 "Crystal Scales of Justice" Prize has been awarded
on 26th October in Paris to the Regional Court of Linz, Austria.
The winning initiative is the Court's Service
Centre
(PDF 705 KB), a central point where citizens obtain all necessary
information and can apply for the Court's services.
A special price has been awarded to two other initiatives:
The
experience of electronic auctions
(PPT 107 KB), proposed by the Superior Court of Murcia, Spain,
and the Electronic notice board of the courts and experts
lists, submitted by the Austrian Ministry of Justice.

- Le Tribunal régional de Linz gagne le Prix "Balance de cristal"
Le Prix "Balance de cristal" 2006 a été attribué le 26 octobre
à Paris au Tribunal régional de Linz, Autriche.
L'initiative gagnante est le Centre
de Service

obtient toute information nécessaire et peut effectuer toutes
les démarches auprès du Tribunal.
Un prix spécial a été attribué à deux autres initiatives:
L'expérience des ventes aux enchères électroniques,
proposé par le Tribunal supérieur de Murcia, Espagne, et Le
Carnet de bord électronique des tribunaux et listes d'experts
soumis par le Ministère de la justice autrichien.

- 3 initiatives selected
In the framework of the 4th European Day of Civil Justice,
the European Commission and the Council of Europe have organised,
for the second time, the Prize Crystal scales of justice,
which awards the innovative practises improving the quality
of civil justice.
A jury consisting of eleven eminent European lawyers met
in Strasbourg on the 4th October to consider eighteen entries
from judicial and governmental institutions from nine European
countries and decided to commend 6 projects from which three
initiatives were selected to run for the award of the Crystal
Scales prize, namely: The Service Centre ( Regional
Court of Linz), Enforcement of judgements without borders:
the experience of electronic auctions ( Secretariat of
Murcia Superior Court) and Electronic notice board of
the courts and experts lists (COURTPUB) (Austrian Ministry
of Justice).
Also the projects presented by the courts of Turin (Italy),
Créteil (France) and Manchester (United Kingdom) have been
"highly commended" by the jury.
The "Crystal scales of justice" prize will be awarded, between
the 3 selected initiatives, on 26th October in Paris, in the
framework of the 8th Conference of Presidents of Supreme courts
of the Council of Europe.

- 3 initiatives sélectionnées
Dans le cadre de la 4ème Journée européenne de la justice
civile, la Commission européenne et le Conseil de l'Europe
ont organisé, pour la 2ème fois, le Prix Balance de cristal,
qui récompense les pratiques innovantes concourant à la qualité
de la justice civile.
Un jury constitué de 11 éminents juristes européens s'est
réuni à Strasbourg le 4 octobre pour examiner les 18 candidatures
d’institutions judiciaires ou étatiques provenant de 9 pays
européens et a décidé d’honorer 6 projets parmi lesquels 3
initiatives ont été sélectionnées afin de concourir à l’attribution
du «Prix Balance de cristal », à savoir: Le Service centre
( Tribunal régional de Linz-Autriche), L'exécution sans
frontière des jugements :l'expérience des ventes aux enchères
électroniques ( Direction du Secrétariat du Tribunal
supérieur de justice de la région de Murcia –Espagne) et Le
Carnet de bord électronique des tribunaux et listes d'experts
(COURTPUB) (Ministère de la justice autrichien).
Des mentions spéciales ont été attribuées aux tribunaux de
Turin (Italie), Créteil (France) et Manchester (Royaume-Uni).
Le prix "Balance de cristal" sera décerné parmi les trois
projets retenus le 26 octobre 2006 à Paris, dans le cadre
de la 8ème Conférence des Présidents des Cours Suprêmes du
Conseil de l'Europe.

practical trainings for judges and their assistants.
The practical trainings will be focused on topics concerning
the completion of forms of mutual legal assistance in

on practical use of Atlas of European Judicial Network
