2.4 Rights and responsibilities of Commission staff

Commission staff are bound by various rules governing their conduct, including Articles 213 and 287 of the EC Treaty, the EU staff regulations (particularly Articles 11-18) and the code of good administrative behaviour (particularly the guideline on objectivity and impartiality). The rules continue to apply to Commissioners and staff even after they have left the Commission.
