e-Commission

Information and Communication Technologies are at the very heart of every modern administration. In this field, the Commission has always been very active in trying from the very beginning to promote the transformation of public administrations into e-administrations.

Of course, we also try to practice what we preach. The e-Commission initiative has its origins in the Reform White Paper. It is about how the Commission can deliver better, more cost-effective, transparent and secure services to staff, our partner administrations, business and citizens.

The Commission has adopted a strategic framework, "e-Commission 2006-2010" pdf - 85 KB [85 KB] , aimed at becoming a first class e-administration in order to improve its efficiency and transparency through the best use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
