Open calls for tender to be launched soon in the areas of nutrition and prevention of alcohol related harm

The AWP 2017 of the Health programme foresees, among others, two important areas of work to be implemented through service contracts.

The first one, on "Pilot on reformulation support and monitoring" will build on the consultations of the High Level Group and the Platform on Nutrition and Physical Activity and elaborate a detailed, comprehensive, effective and efficient monitoring process of reformulation initiatives for salt, sugars and fat across the EU. The monitoring functions will be pilot tested in key areas and will then be made available to Member States with the objective to reinforce public health in the field on nutrition.

The second one, "The EU dimension of alcohol related harm"  will build on the results of the 2014-2016 Joint Action to reduce alcohol related harm with a view to strengthen EU Member States' efforts to lower harmful alcohol consumption and prevent alcohol abuse.

The two open calls will be published before the end of the year through the Ted eTendering.

Interested tenderers may register themselves for the Health Programme Notifications to be informed when the above calls for tenders are published.
