    Ex-Ante Publicity for negotiated procedure for low value contract for promotional event for the Consumer Classroom 4th Inter-School Competition

    Description of the Services

    To respond to the new approaches towards consumer education actions, the European Commission launched on 15th March 2013 an interactive community on-line platform for teachers of 12-18 years old students across the EU: the Consumer Classroom

    The website aims to promote consumer education and in particular to encourage its teaching in European secondary schools. It is a pan European website financed by the European Commission.

    The website offers various collaborative tools – one of which being the Inter-School competition aiming to encourage schools to collaborate with other schools across the EU and create inter-school projects on relevant consumer topics.

    The topic of the Inter-School competition 2016-2017 was 'Become Smart Energy Consumers!' which is one of the top priorities of the European Commission.

    Scope of the services

    The subject of this service is to organise events and to award prizes to the winners of the 4th Inter-School Competition 2016-2017 held on Consumer Classroom website. The first prize is a two-day trip to Brussels for two project teams with the purpose of visiting the main European Union Institutions. The contractor will be requested to award prizes to the winners and shortlisted projects.

    The tasks of the contract

    • Organisation of the travel and accommodation of the participants
    • Organisation of the event in Brussels
    • Provide Promotional activities and materials
    • Propose and provide items for the second prize winners


    The estimated duration of the contract will be of 6 months. The maximum value of the contract is 60.000 EUR. The indicative timetable for launching the procedure is August 2017.

    Tenderers who are interested to participate in this procedure must contact the contracting authority by 3 August 2017 at and declare their interest. Selected tenderers will be invited to submit offers within 10 days of receipt of the invitation to tender. Submission of the tenders will be electronic.
