The second high-level Conference with national parliaments on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2014-2020, which was jointly co-sponsored by the European Parliament, the Danish Presidency of the Council and the European Commission, took place in Brussels at the European Parliament on 22 March 2012.
The meeting focused on the expenditure and resources of the EU budgets beyond 2013. The conference was jointly opened by Mr Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, Mrs Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Prime Minister, and Mr José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, and was attended by representatives of European institutions and national parliaments.
