Visitors programme

In order to attract leading experts from academia, international organisations, governments and top research institutions, BEPA has established a visitors programme. The visitors’ areas of expertise cover a wide range of topics, including the Europe 2020 strategy for smart; sustainable and inclusive growth; strategic foresight (society, economy, governance); strategic partnerships and external relations of the European Union; science, technology and innovation; genuine fiscal, economic and monetary union; institutional issues, democracy and legitimacy; culture and creativity.

President Barroso has decided to entrust Professor Mario Monti, President of Bocconi University and former Commissioner for the Internal market, Financial services and Tax policy (1995-1999) and for Competition (1999-2004), with the mission of preparing a report containing options and recommendations for an initiative to relaunch the Single Market as a key strategic objective of the new Commission
