Do you want your photo to appear on the world's biggest postcard? Then join us on 4 May at the Open Days, with their focus on the European Year of Citizens 2013 (on the Esplanade of the Berlaymont, beside the stand of the European Commission's Representation to Belgium)!
The European Year of Citizens is an occasion to put the spotlight on the citizens of the European Union and encourage a debate with them to define, together, how the European Union should look in 2020. A series of events and debates is being organised throughout the year and all over Europe to discuss the future of the European Union, the rights attached to our EU citizenship, and the obstacles that prevent us from fully enjoying those EU rights.
The European Year of Citizens will also be in evidence at the Iris Festival on 5 May at the 'European Crossroads' at Brussels' Central Station, as will be the EU's 'Europe for Citizens' funding programme.
