||Soundbite by Karel De Gucht, Member of the EC in charge of Trade, (in ENGLISH):
Today, we have saved the WTO and the Bali Package. We have avoided throwing away the potential benefits that this package of measures will have for all of us but notably the developing world.
||Questions/answers session being opened
||Soundbite by Karel De Gucht (in ENGLISH): So, what does today's Bali Package mean? Just take trade facilitation which is essentially a way to help many countries cut red tape at the borders to become more efficient?
||Cutaways of the audience (2 shots)
||Soundbite by Karel De Gucht (in ENGLISH): Let me be crystal clear. The European Union is committed to helping developing countries be able to help themselves. That is the success story of the Bali Package today.
Finally, just a few words on food security, I have already stated several times this week that the European Union fully supports food security measures to ensure the world's poor can eat, people everywhere must have enough to eat. This is fundamental. This is a human right.

||Soundbite by Dacian Cioloş, Member of the EC in charge of Agriculture and Rural Development, (in ENGLISH): I think, in this Bali package, we have a very good agricultural package which creates the opportunity to work in the WTO but also together with other international institutions like FAO or others in a strong food security package using also trade but also using stimulating investment, using in a right way the programme of cooperation and development in order to stimulate the production capacity, linked to the eradication of poverty.

||Soundbite by Algirdas Šemeta, Member of the EC in charge of Taxation, Customs, Statistics, Audit and Anti-Fraud, (in ENGLISH): We have not agreed only on Euros, we have agreed on proactive actions to make trade flows between us simpler, faster and cheaper and this will pave the way for accelerating growth and economic prosperity worldwide.
||Cutaway of the audience
||Soundbite by Algirdas Šemeta (in ENGLISH): Europe which has been a long time campaigner for greater trade facilitation, is ready to set the pace in honouring the commitments made today in a coherent and coordinated way.
Ladies and gentlemen, today's agreement is a monumental one which can change the face of world trade. It shows about multilateral cooperation which brings the best.
