On 15 November, Rimantas Sadzius, Lithuanian Minister of Finance, held the press conference of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council. He announced that Ministers didn't reach an agreement on the taxation issues because two Member Sates blocked the proposal. The Finance Ministers had also an exchange of view on the Single Resolution Mechanism, a proposal establishing uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firmsin the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Bank Resolution Fund and amending Regulation. Rimantas Sadzius underlined that the Ministers' views were not so different: 'My general impression is that despite quite popular stereotypes there is no polarisation among Member Sates'.
