On 21 October 2013, Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, met with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairperson and General Secretary of the National League for Democracy of Myanmar/Burma, 1991 Nobel Peace Prize ® laureate, in Luxembourg.
