||Question from a journalist (in ENGLISH) saying that the EU is no doubt expecting a settlement offer from Gazprom; asking whether an ‘Article 9’ type result would be the best solution in this case. Answer from Joaquín Almunia, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Competition, (in ENGLISH) that an ‘Article 9’ type solution, in other words an agreement based on commitments to eliminate these antitrust concerns is a good solution in cases of new technologies in these rapidly changing markets; however, in more stable markets, mature markets, Article 7 enables these issues to be addressed, and for objections to violations to be removed.
