Highlights of the 103rd Plenary Session of the Committee of the Regions, 2nd day

On 8 October 2013, the 103rd Plenary Session of the Committee of the Regions took place in Brussels. During this session, the participants voted on finding better ways to spend structural funds under existing Cohesion Policy rules. They identified city and regional solutions during a time of structural deficit in the EU budget and they discussed about the 4th Railway Package on achieving a stronger role for regional authorities. Urban-rural partnership was also among the key areas reported on by leading European regional officials.
