Following the OPEN DAYS opening session, Emmanuel Moulin, Director of URBACT programme and Michel Lamblin, Director of INTERREG IVC programme, held a speech at the 'networking event'.
The event inaugurated the exhibition '100 EUrban solutions' showcasing transferable good practices in the area of smart, sustainable and inclusive urban development. Spread over several venues in the Brussels' EU quarter, the different exhibition components form the '100 EUrban solutions' route.
In October 2013, regions and cities will be finalising preparations for the 2014-2020 cohesion policy, rural development and fisheries programmes. The OPEN DAYS will offer EU institutions, managing authorities and final beneficiaries a chance to exchange and network on new approaches even before the new operational programmes (OPs) are implemented in 2014.
Regions and cities will also be able to present the results of their 2007-2013 EU-funded programmes and projects, showcasing the impact these have on regional development, i.e. contributing to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.
The OPEN DAYS 2013 thematic priorities are: Managing change, synergies and cooperation and challenges and solutions.

This is why in the field of interregional cooperation; we also start capitalizing via 12 topics, part of them on the innovation filed and part of tem on the environment.
