10:00:15 Soundbite by Catherine Ashton (in ENGLISH) on the meeting with deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi: In all of my conversations we have emphasised a few things. First of all, we are here to help; we are not here to impose. The people of Egypt will determine their own future and those who have privilege to be in the leadership position have the responsibility to ensure that happens. But we have some experiences that can be valued. And we can perhaps help to, by having conversations with everyone to listen and perhaps offer some thoughts. That include elections, we will be very happy to observe elections in the future and to help with that process. 00:00:41

10:00:59 Soundbite by Catherine Ashton (in ENGLISH) on the meeting with deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi: I also told him in my two-hour conversation that I was not going to represent his views because in the circumstances he can not correct me, if I do it on the wrong way. We talked for two hours, we talks in depth. He has access to information in terms of TV and newspapers. We were able to talk about the situation and we were able to speak about the need to move forward but I will not reveal further things about our conversations in any way. I also, as I have indicated, have made clear that we are talking with people not because we are coming out with great ideas, but we want to help facilitate the bringing together of ideas the people here have. 00:00:46

10:01:49 Soundbite by Catherine Ashton (in ENGLISH) on Mohammed Morsi: He is well and we had a friendly and very frank and open discussion for the two hours I saw him. And I saw where he was, I don't know where he is but I saw the facility he has. We had a warm discussion because, as you know, I have met with him many times before. I send him good wishes from people here and he asked me to pass on wishes back and of course, I have tried to make sure that his family know that he is well. 00:00:39
