On 26 June 2013, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, received Ivica Dačić, Serbian Prime Minister and Minister for the Interior, to discuss the accession negotiations.
Serbia is a candidate country for EU membership since 2012. Several agreements ensure close collaboration with the EU. A European partnership with Serbia provides support to the Serbian authorities by identifying areas where further reforms are required.
