On 26 April 2013, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, attended the opening session of the 6th EU/African Union Commission meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In his arrival, José Manuel Barroso met with Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Chairwoman of the AUC. The agenda revolved around common challenges faced by both continents, such as peace and security, and shared interests, in particular the pursuit of inclusive and sustainable growth.
