The Commission released a proposal for a new energy infrastructure regulation, paving the way for the implementation by 2020 of twelve trans-European infrastructure priority corridors and areas.
The regulation introduces clear rules to identify and deploy "Projects of Common Interest". Key elements of the proposal are also faster, easier and more transparent permit granting procedures for projects of common interest.
