First weekly meeting of the Santer Commission
Lieu: Brussels - EC/Breydel
End production: 02/08/1996
The European Commission met on 25 January 1995 for its first weekly meeting under the presidency of Jacques Santer.
The EC began its work by adopting formally the allocation of portfolios among the twenty Commissioners, as the result of its informal meetings of 29 October and 16 December 1994. It has also established new groups of commissioners. The composition and mandate of these groups took account of the explanations given by Jacques Santer at the investiture debate.
Only the original language version is authentic and it prevails in the event of its differing from the translated versions.
