The report on Credit agreements relating to residential property has been voted today. MEPs have insisted that new rules designed to protect home buyers are enforced properly throughout the EU. MEPs are ready to endorse the deal struck with the Council as they are satisfied that the European Banking Authority will be able to investigate an alleged breach of the rules, or failure to implement them, at the request of one or more national authorities, an EU institution, the Banking Stakeholder Group or on its own initiative.
