Today a group of Italian MEPs from several political groups have participated in a remembrance small ceremony at the courtyard of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. EP President Martin SCHULZ has joined the initiative and has declared: "We honour the victims. This tragedy by the coast of Italy is a disaster for all of us. MEPs represent the European people as a whole, it is therefore logical that the MEPs think today about two things: how to alleviate the suffering of the victims, and how to avoid this to happen again in the future".
