The President of the European Central Bank (ECB) Mario DRAGHI visited today the European Parliament in Strasbourg to debate with MEPs on the ECB Annual Report 2011 and to talk about the past and future activities of the ECB. At his arrival, he was received by the EP President Martin SCHULZ. On the occasion of DRAGHI's visit today to the EP, MEPs would underline the important role that the ECB has received in this particular time of crisis, and would call the ECB to foster growth and job creation and to be more accountable to democratically-elected institutions, especially when acting within the troika.
