The European Parliament has launched a campaign for the European year of citizens, highlighting four of the main European values in the Charter of Fundamental rights: gender equality, child protection, freedom of speech and solidarity.
The campaign kicked-off with the gender equality early March, followed by child protection and freedom of speech. Short, poignant hidden camera films were shot for each of these topics and subsequently published on EP websites and social media platforms.
A Citizens Wall on Facebook was launched before Easter holidays. This application enabled people to upload their picture and stand up for their favourite value.
Just like the online app, the animated, life-size Citizen wall in Midi Station will feature all of the participants’ photos, each in the colour of their favourite value.
