Participation of Kristalina Georgieva in the launch of the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) campaign on Silent Disasters

On 18 February 2013, Kristalina Georgieva, Member of the EC in charge of International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, Michèle Striffler, Member of the EP (EPP, FR), and Walter Cotte, Member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), attended the launch of the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) campaign on Silent Disasters. The objective of this campaign was to raise awareness about silent disasters around the world and to highlight the work of ECHO and the Red Cross and Red Crescent in delivering assistance to the people affected by these disasters.
