Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, made a two day visit of the West Greece and Peloponnese regions on 14 and 15 February 2013.
On 14 February, he was in Patras, in the West Greece region. He was briefed by Apostolos Katsifaras, Governor of West Greece region, on the key issues the region faces. He also had the opportunity to visit the Technological Educational Institute of Patras and the new port of Patras.
During his visit, Johannes Hahn pushed for the most efficient and effective use of the country's main source of public investment – EU Regional Funds.
