||Soundbite by Tonio Borg (in ENGLISH): There are still many remains to be done and reforms are needed to ensure an efficient and sustainable health system able to provide care to Greek citizens. For generations to come as I said in an interview, that debt crisis should never become a health crisis.

European Commissions’ experts in the task force which was set up for Greece are providing technical support right here. They are preparing the ground for structural reforms, such as the modernization of the health system.

||Soundbite by Tonio Borg (in ENGLISH): I will not hide my intentions; my intention as Commissioner is to reduce the number of smokers in European Union by two per cent over period of five years. So this will have effect on some parts of the economy. In EU, seven hundred thousand people die every year prematurely because of smoke diseases.
