Visit of Johannes Hahn to Zagreb

Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, was in Zagreb, Croatia, on 12 February 2013. He delivered an opening speech on "Making Croatia Competitive with EU Cohesion Funds" at the Seminar on Smart Specialisation. Branko Grčić, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development and EU Funds, also addressed the Seminar. Johannes Hahn also met with delegations from the Croatian Government and the Croatian Parliament. Finally, he met with Ivo Josipović, President of Croatia. The aim of the visit to Croatia was to set out the opportunities future EU Regional Policy offer the country, as well as the challenges ahead.
