On 24 January 2013, Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Santiago where she attended the opening session of the 6th Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (Eurolat). The Vice-President then met with Alfredo Moreno Charme, Chilean Minister for Foreign Affairs.
