00:00:05 SOUNDBITE (EN) Martin SCHULZ, EP President : "I think the council finished its negociations. The figures are for sure not satisfying for the European parliament. 960 Billion engagements and 908 billions for payments, this is a gap which is for the european parliament too high. On the other hand i take note that the council made now an offer to the european parliament. I requested yesterday to the council not to consider what they agreed as a final point but as a starting point for discussions now with the european parliament.. I take note that the fight against the youth unemployment is in the package. I take note that the council wants to revise the financial perspective with the revision clause and the so called flexibility close which is for the european parliament very important and is in the packkage for negociations for discussions. So there are some disapponted elements and encouraging elements. We will now check and analyse seriously the decisions and the proposals and then we will decide in the parliament 00:01:20
00:01:25 Question: are you personnally satisfied ? 00:00:02
00:01:27 Look I am in Milano and I have no single paper seen, the council just finished, I got from chancelor Merkel an information, i got from chancelor Faymann an information from president Hollande and this is by the way also very interesting that the heads of national governments informed the president of the european parliament. The president of the European council, Mr Van Rompuy has taken noc contact with me. This is verysignificant I think and therefore I wait now until i hear something. 00:00:34
