10:03:01 SOUNDBITE (in English) by Demetris Christofias: The meeting of the European Council that just took place is unquestionably yet another step in our course in completing an integrating economic monetary union. The way to construct a substantive economic and monetary union is a long one and we definitely need to maintain the momentum. The decisions that have been taken and the orientations that have been decided, will determine to a significant degree the course of the European Union in next years. The reform that is taking place aiming at the more effective economic and financial governance will also help us to face up quicker to the economic crisis that is hurting the Union. 00:00:50
