On 06 December, Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy received Sadullah Ergin, Turkish Minister of Justice. They talked about the benefits of the relations between EU and Turkey. They talked also on topics such us: the 3rd legislative package, the chapter 23 and the next judicial package.

It was an opportunity for me to appreciate the work of Mr. Ergin and his colleagues. In recent weeks and months he has delivered on the number of the issues to the benefit to the Turkish citizens, to the benefit to the EU- Turkish relationship, to the benefit of the accession process. I could refer to the third legislative package, I could refer to the law of ombudsman, I could refer to the work on the action plan on human rights.

There are significant examples and when it comes to the third judicial package we also have new laws regarding the mediation, the ombudsman office and the establishment of the human rights institution.
