On 27 November 2012, Johannes Hahn, ember of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, Policy travelled to Regensburg, in Germany and participated in the First Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. On this occasion, he made a statement on the implemented projects and met with Hans Schaidinger, Mayor of Regensburg, Emilia Müller, Bavarian Minister for Federal and European Affairs, and Gloria, princesse von Thurn und Taxis.

00:02:08 Soundbite by Johannes Hahn (in ENGLISH): Well, after one and a half year having this strategy with an action plan in place, we can see already a lot of projects implemented; we have for the first time a second bridge between Romania and Bulgaria, we have worked on a common label to promote the Danube all over the world, we have worked on the navigability issue, there have been conferences of Ministers for Research in order to create a research and innovation fund for the whole region so there have been a lot of different activities and this is I would say a huge success for one and a half year. 00:00:39
