The Council Irish presidency and the Commission addressed the EP ahead of decisive summit On top of the Council's agenda are the discussions on the EU's multiannual framework (MFF) for 2014-2020 as Member states will try to reach a unanimous agreement. Other topics on the agenda relate to to trade prioritising bilateral trade agreements with key partners, including the United States and external relations (Arab Spring and Mali) and Europe's contribution to the pursuit of peace and democracy.
