On 30 November 2012, the Committee of the Regions holds its 98th plenary session in Brussels. Nilgun Canver, Member of the Municipal Council of Haringey, presented her opinion on the proposed 7th Environment Action Program which defines objectives for environmental policy and looks to improve implementation in Europe, thus supporting the Europe2020 objectives. Elisabeth Vitouch, Member of the Municipal Council of Vienna, presented a proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and the Council on the European Capitals of Culture for the years 2020 to 2033. Rogier van der Sande, Member of the Executive Council of the province of Zuid-Holland, made recommendations as regards the EU Strategy towards a sustainable bioeconomy.
