On 26 October 2012, Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, travelled to Portugal and participated in the conference “Resuming Growth and Competitiveness in Europe through re-industrialisation” in presence with Álvaro Santos Pereira, Portuguese Minister for Economy and Employment, at the Electricity Museum, in Lisbon. He also visited the Palace of Belém and the official residence of the Prime Minister where he respectively met Aníbal Cavaco Silva , President of Portugal, and Pedro Passos Coelho, Portuguese Prime Minister.
