On 12 October 2012, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, received the visit of Max Baucus, US Senator, in Brussels. They exchanged views on global economic and bilateral trade issues. The European Union is Montana’s third largest export partner after Canada and South Korea of American pigs. At his arrival, Senator Baucus congratulated President Barroso after being informed that the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the European Union.
