On 10 October 2012, Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, presented the 2012 Enlargement Package adopted by the European Commission on the same day. On this occasion he gave a speech on Croatia and its good progress overall. The European Commission identified areas where further efforts are necessary and a limited number of issues where increased efforts are required.
