On 3 October 2012, The College of the EC received the Irish Government in Brussels. This visit occurred ahead of Ireland's seventh Presidency of the Council of Ministers. During the meeting, the Leaders agreed that the top priority must be growth, and discussed the Commission's proposal for a banking union, the Multiannual Financial framework negotiations and other priorities.
