00:01:22 SOUNDBITE by Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration (In English) saying that: Concerning current financial perspective and its negotiations, any delay brings uncertainty and complication if it comes to the work on budgetary planning and on top of it since the Lisbon treaty entered into force we have a new budget procedure in place where the Commission is obliged to start to work the 2014 budget already in January 2013 so it's important for us to know on what basis we should start our deliberation. 00:00:31

00:01:57 SOUNDBITE by Maroš Šefčovič (In English) saying that: I'm very glad that the Cyprus presidency is looking into the ways how we can better coordinate the work of the Council and the Parliament so we can progress with these very important legislative proposals in a more coordinated way; working groups in the Council, committees in the European Parliament and they are preparing the road map which would help us to coordinate better our work in the Council, in the Parliament and of course in the Commission. 00:00:32
00:02:29 SOUNDBITE by Janusz Lewandowski, Member of the EC in charge of Financial Programming and Budget (In English) saying that: The reason n°1 for the update is Croatia. Croatia is to join the family of 27 as the 28th as from the 1st of July and we need to reflect in the most transparent way what does this mean in financial terms. That means in so called commitments that we should add 13.7 billion and in payments 9.9 billion, this is for all the programs. 00:00:34

00:03:08 SOUNDBITE by Janusz Lewandowski (In English) saying that: The results of this revised macro-economic and regional data is that we have commitments less by 5.5 billion Euros for cohesion but the story is different for so called payments as order to reflect the development of payments for the next year, we should respect what was the commitment before and what is the commitments nowadays. 00:00:41
